At the age of 25 I realized that it was unlikely that I would ever be able to earn a living as an avant-garde modern dancer. I voiced my concern to my older sister who told me that she knew some people in the advertising industry and would arrange some introductions if I thought I might be interested.

And that’s how it started.

I’ve worked as a PA, Art Department Assistant, Wardrobe Stylist, Set Decorator, and for several years now as an Art Director primarily in the commercial world with brief forays in features and long format corporate programming.

I’ve taken a few breaks. First to have a child, and then to go back to school to study Painting/ Fine Art.

But I have always returned to this mercurial, creative, maddening business. It certainly keeps my attention. Every job is a different challenge full of new people, old friends, crazy deadlines, long hours. Can’t ever say that I’m bored, it’s boring. We are generally just too busy for any of that nonsense.

And on occasion, when all the stars are aligned, we are able produce a piece that is interesting, somewhat provocative and wonderfully creative.
